You never forget your first.

I know you're thinking, "oohhhh, juicy details" when you read this title, but sadly no. This is about my first paranormal romance book. Yup, you guessed it, Twilight. I'm sorry to admit that Twilight was my first love. I swallowed that book whole, and then went back for New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. You think that would be enough? No. Of course not. I read those book 15 times. I was completely obsessed. I couldn't imagine reading a book without Edward, Jacob, and Bella. They became my life. One night, I stayed up all night to keep reading, and finish Eclipse. By the time I finished it was seven in the morning. I didn't even blink an eye, I just opened up Breaking Dawn.
Eventually my Twilight Mania faded, and I started reading other books. Then I found out about the movie, and couldn't help but be excited. That's when it all went to hell. Twilight t-shirts, twilight posters, and twilight sheets. Hell, there was even Twilight packing tape. Who in there right mind needs Twilight packing tape. That's when I quit. I was done. No more Twilight.
I failed miserably. Every year when the new Twilight movie is going to come out I tell myself I will not go to this one, and I will be strong, and guess what? Every single year I fail. I have seen all three twilight movies, and I have a shrine to Jacob on my door.
When I was in my twilight mania, I thought this was it. This is the ONLY book about vampires and other mystical creatures. The I actually looked for a second and found all the other books that have nothing to do with twilight. Hell, they even have a handy little brochure called "What to read next, books after Twilight".
For all you people who think Twilight is the greatest thing since sliced bread, I'm sorry to inform you, It's not. There are way better books out there.
I am not going to tell you like so many others, "I liked twilight before it got popular, and then it did, and it was too stupid." Half of those people are lying. I guarantee it. Before Twilight got popular, hardly anyone had read it, and now it's everywhere. I read Twilight when my friends finally decided I would die if I didn't. Until then I was perfectly happy reading my Janet Evanovich.
